Here I'm putting together the perspex sides for the lever hub. At the moment this perspex is just temporary, I just need to put everything together roughly and make sure it all fits and operates correctly before laser cutting the final pieces of perspex.
This is the first bearing cover bolted in place.

The bearing and lever guides in place. The semi-circle guides serve not only as the place the centering ball locates onto, but also as minimum & maximum stop points for the lever.

The final assembly. The steel pieces on the lever hubs (the darker bits on the hub) is where the levers will be welded to. The centering ball locates perfectly as the hubs turns, providing only a small amount of resistance to turn it past center. I will probably add a grub screw into the guides so that the resistance can be adjusted by changing the depth that the ball can be pushed into the hole.
